What information is collected and why:
When making a reservation:
When you make a reservation online or by phone through
our customer support center, you will be asked for your
name, address, phone number, email address and credit
card information. This information is shared with the
hotel that you have chosen. We will only share information
with the hotel that is necessary to process your reservation.
Your credit card information will be used by the hotel
to guarantee your reservation. Also, during the booking
process you can choose not to receive our newsletter
or travel reminders by unchecking the appropriate boxes
on the form. If you choose to receive our newsletter
you may also receive newsletters from our sister companies
for cruise, air and resort specials.
User Accounts
As an option, visitors to euroHotelGuide.com can create
a user account to better manage their shopping preferences
and reservations. This enables us to store your hotel
and room preferences, an address to use when booking
and contact information to provide to the hotel when
you reserve. During the registration process, users
are asked to provide some personal information such
as their name, phone number and email address. The information
is used to help us serve you more efficiently. Also,
during the registration process you can choose not to
receive our newsletter or travel reminders by unchecking
the appropriate boxes on the form. If you choose to
receive our newsletter you may also receive newsletters
from our sister companies for cruise, air and resort
specials. You can change the information contained in
your account at any time by logging into your account
and updating the items you would like changed. If you
would like to delete your user account please send email
to privacy@eurohotelguide.com.
E-Postcards
eurohotelguide.com provides electronic postcards cards
for you to send to a friend. We store the email address
of all recipients, the message you want to send and
the URL for locating the greeting card. We do not sell,
distribute, or license in anyway the use of recipient
email addresses. We use them solely for the purposes
of notifying recipients on your behalf that a eurohotelguide
card is waiting for them at the designated URL. After
30 days, all information pertaining to your postcard
is deleted.
Joining CommissionClub
CommissionClub is a program offered by euroHotelGuide.com
that enables users with Web sites to link to our site
and earn a commission on reservations that are generated
through that link. During the signup process members
are asked to provide contact and address information
so that we can make payment of commissions earned to
members. This information will not be shared with any
third party. You can change the information contained
in your CommissionClub account at any time by logging
into your account and updating the items you would like
changed. If you would like to delete your account please
send email to privacy@eurohotelguide.com.
If you do not have a user account and need to correct
or update your personal information for a reservation
you have made, please send email to users@eurohotelguide.com.
Please be aware that our site contains links to other
sites and that the privacy practices of other sites
may differ from those of World Choice Travel.
Correspondence with you
If you have a user account or have made a reservation
we will periodically send correspondence to your email
address including reservation confirmations, updates
about your reservations, newsletters, special offers
and travel reminders (for customers with user accounts
only). For customers with user accounts, you can choose
not to receive our newsletter or travel reminders by
logging into your account and modifying your email subscriptions.
If you do not have a user account, you can send email
to users@eurohotelguide.com to unsubscribe to our email
newsletter. Also, when making a reservation without
a user account, you will be given the opportunity to
not receive the newsletter.
Changes to our Privacy Policy
We will inform you that our privacy policy has changed
by prominently displaying a note to this effect on our
Web site home page.
